Did he write that to make fun of me or was it totally irrelevant?

So there is this guy that my ex-friend used to like, and her and my other friend used to annoy him ALOT the past year. I'm not friends with her anymore, but the guy knows that we used to be like best friends. I never personally annoyed him, I was just quiet around him, but I think he knew that I was there when they bugged him over text and stuff. So anyhoo, today we were signing yearbooks during class. And I was sitting by my friend (she wasn't part of my friends who liked this guy), and the guy asked me to sign his yearbook. So I just wrote "Dear __, have a great summer. See you next year! -(my name)" and gave it back to him. Then i said "Oh ___, did u want to sign mine?" so I gave him a place to sign, but instead he said "This looks like a good place to sign!" and wrote over a letter my friend wrote to me (again one not involved with the guy) and he wrote his name HUGE across the page with a heart. (He has a girlfriend, and I wouldn't be interested in him anyways) and his friend said "ha look at her face! (i guess I looked confused?) that's a good idea!" and he grabbed my friend's yearbook sitting next to be and did the same thing to her yearbook. My question is, did he do it to make fun of me, or was he just trying to be funny and did it not involve my weird ex-friends obsession with him? Thanks for answering!
