Should I consider alternatives to school? If so, which alternatives should I consider?
Well, don't fear! Usually the creative thinkers who don't fit in the conventional box of the school system are the ones who have the most success in life. If you're in 11th grade, I would say tough it out because you're almost done with high school and then you can move on to bigger and better things. I don't know if you're the kind of person who might do this, but maybe if you talk to an older sibling, counselor, or cool teacher you can pull your grades up and prevent them from dropping next year. You seem like a really smart kid who is feeling defeated by things he can't control. So, don't feel that way because everything will work it's way out, someway or another. I've had a couple bouts of depression and I'm not going to tell you to stop being lazy and just do your work. I know how it feels and being told that you're lazy only makes it worse. Tough it out, and not to sound incredibly corny or optimistic, which I am neither, my former shrink once told me "It's always darkest before the dawn." Good luck to you with your future endeavors!
