I need advice. Whenever a girl talks to me all i can muster is 'hello' aand then there is an awkward silence!!?

I am fairly good looking(if that sounds cocky its not meant to) and whenever a girl talks to me my brain turns to mush and then all i want to do is shrink into a hole!! What can i do?? I really need help!!
