Is it possible to use a proxy to utilize a friends internet connection?

i want to upload files to a file hosting site, but my upload speed is really slow (about .42 Mbps) and my friend's is about 1.2 Mbps. is it possible to use his upload connection speed from my computer to upload files to a site? if there is, could someone show me what programs to use? thanks :)
